Commenting Review Week

The comments I have received have been very useful.  I feel like it is a great way to give positive and constructive feedback to other students. I have definitely felt that I have gotten a lot of constructive feedback that I have used to benefit my writing.  When others give me helpful hints in my writing it really makes you think about how I could have written something differently and made it that much better. Overall, I think everyone has been extremely respectful and I think the major thing I need to work on is going back over my work once I am finished. Reading my work out loud really helps make sure I don’t have silly mistakes.

Writing Review Week

So far in this class I am really excited that I have gotten to get my creative juices flowing to where I could actually write a creative story. I am by no means a creative person at all and I think this class has really made me grow creatively and made me think outside the box about different stories I could write about.

As for my writing goals for the second half of the semester, I really want to work on the grammatical errors and not so much the creativity. I want to make sure that that my writing flows easily and I don’t change my verb tenses so much throughout the semester. I think I need to take the time this second part of the semester to really take my stories slower and re read them to make sure that they are free of any silly errors that can be easily fixed. I am excited for the second part of the semester and what stories will come with it!

Reading Review Week

The reading that I have enjoyed the most was when Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita were in the forest.  I think I enjoyed it most because it was so descriptive.  When I was reading the story it made me feel as if I was in a beautiful garden full of all of the beautiful flowers that I would want my perfect garden to have.  I also loved when it talked about the animals that were singing but Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita had not seen the animals in the lake. Overall, this was my favorite story because it was so descriptive and colorful and I felt like I was standing right alongside Rama and the others and I was experiencing the music with them. It was my favorite story thus far.
